Technology is something we take very seriously at ARE and our IT department is constantly rethinking our use of technology to stay ahead of the competition and enhance our customers interactions and experiences with us.

At ARE we utilise groundbreaking digital display technologies to enhance the visual impact of our award-winning venues and increase customer engagement. We were some of the first to implement kiosks, meal ordering apps and digital waiter stations on Australian airports to enhance the ordering experience as well as large, curved LED displays to increase visual appeal.

With each new build we strive to break new ground with our utilisation of the latest available technologies for customer interaction including meal ordering apps, food delivery robots, service and web-based feedback.

We have won awards for our fitouts and are renowned by our Airport landlords for having some of the best digital displays on Airports around Australia.

Innovations

  • 1998 – the first to bring freshly ground coffee to an Australian airport at our Velocity café in Brisbane
  • 1998 – the first company to develop its own airport specific retail food brands (Velocity, Refuel, NRG & Tanja’s)
  • 1999 – the fist to bring freshly made to order sandwiches to Australian airports through our Pure NRG brand in Sydney T3
  • 2003 – the first company to bring freshly cooked made to order meals to an Australian airport with our Asian eatery Wok on Air in Sydney’s Terminal 3.
