CAFÉ VUE Proudly Serves Melbourne’s 100 Millionth International Passenger
Melbourne Airport has today celebrated its 100 millionth international passenger. Melbourne Airport CEO, Mr Chris Woodruff, said that 100 million international passengers was a significant milestone for Victoria’s aviation gateway. “We’ve come a long way since we first opened for international flights in July, 1970. In our first year of operation, around 100,000 passengers travelled through the new airport. Last year, almost 7 million international passengers used Melbourne Airport.”
“Our lucky 100 millionth passenger is a young woman named Clare who was travelling to Singapore with her mother and grandmother. To help them start their trip in style, we have a number of treats in store including some dining delights from Café Vue that will be served by the award winning chef himself, Mr Shannon Bennett; Shannon will actually cook in the kitchen with our renowned Melbourne Airport Café Vue Team to prepare Clare & her family’s breakfast.
