Big Smoke Brew Co teams up with ARE to open Big Smoke Taphouse and Kitchen in Heathrow's Terminal 2

May 2021 Independent Surrey-based brewery, Big Smoke Brew Co, and Airport Retail Enterprises (ARE) have teamed up to launch a brand new independent craft beer and food destination to travellers departing from Heathrow, Terminal 2. Opening in May, Big Smoke Taphouse & Kitchen seamlessly blends a modern attention to detail with comfortable surroundings and a very warm welcome.
The well-curated food menu has plenty for everyone at all times of day, with a focus on comforting pub classics, all day breakfasts and sharing dishes. Highlights include DIY tacos, grilled meat sharers and home-made burgers. And for something more bespoke, guests can tailor a dish to their individual tastes by choosing from the selection of grills, sides and sauces. All times of day are covered with a fresh breakfast menu that includes pancakes with maple syrup, Eggs Benedict, sweetcorn fritters and the ‘Big Smoke Signature Breakfast’ featuring house-smoked beef brisket.
Big Smoke have produced a beer and a gin to be sold exclusively at Heathrow; Flight Mode, a crisp and refreshing 4% pilsner and Taphouse London Dry Gin which will be available with personalised labels that can be created while you wait. Big Smoke Brew Co’s own range of locally produced beers, cider and gins will also be available – including 6 draught options, 6 cans in the fridge and 3 gins on the bar. This range is backed up by a large selection of other beers, wines, spirits, cocktails and soft drinks.
The pub and restaurant will be certified Covid-safe to trade, and will feature order-at-table / pay-at-table technology to provide customers with the convenience and safety of being able to order and pay for their meals and drinks from their own phones.
