Gold Coast Airport has undergone a huge transformation over the last couple of years and Airport Retail Enterprises is very excited to be a part of that.

One of the first new outlets to open in 2022 was Wollumbin Café & Bar located on the Departures level of the International Terminal with sweeping views of the Wollumbin Mountain Range.  Open all day, Wollumbin is a great place to relax before your trip. There’s an extensive breakfast menu, specialty sandwiches using regional ingredients and shared plates, alongside a full bar serving a range of wines, beers and spirits.

ARE is also very excited to announce a first on Australian airports with the role of a Food Ambassador at Gold Coast Airport.  Matt Jefferson will be the face of ARE at the airport and work with us to influence the menus and styles of all ARE outlets in the terminal.  Matt is the Executive Chef of Orzo Italian Restaurant and Social Eating House, both located in Broadbeach.

ARE’s other outlets to open at Gold Coast Airport are Paradox Coffee, Social Espresso, Merlo and The Sand Bar.  Paradox and Social Espresso are 2 very popular local brands that really focus on providing the best coffee experience for their customers.  Merlo is also a favourite QLD brand that never fails to deliver and is located before you go through security so it’s a great way to have a quick bite with friends and family before you fly.
