2019 Award for Excellence

On behalf of Peter Butts, John Chapman, Frank Burger and the entire ARE Team we would like to congratulate Anh Huynh from our Melbourne T4 operations on winning the 2019 Award for Excellence. Anh’s Green Curry chicken pie not only tasted delicious but the presentation was fantastic. One of the criteria for the competition is the potential to sell across our sites and Anh’s chicken pie certainly ticked that box.

Second place went to Sydney T3 terminal’s Dj Duang Jaicher with a Green Breakfast. It was delicious, nutritious and very on-trend for healthy eating. The Green breakfast is something that many of our sites can incorporate into their menus. Third place went to Candice Patterson from Brisbane Domestic terminal whose Pork Terrine with mustard fruits really impressed with its flavours and the practicality of the dish.

Special mention must also go to Leonard Vaimalu from Coolangatta and his Wagyu Burger, Leonard is a 2nd year apprentice and will no doubt be coming back better and stronger next year. Thanks also to Jonathan Paculan (Sydney T1) and Brittany Enriquez (Sydney T2) both your dishes, the Apple Crumble and Pork Belly were not far off the best.

Congratulations also to all the other competitors who all demonstrated a very high Standard.
